I think for many, Diversity and Ashley Banjo are a huge inspiration so I thought I'd post some links to a few videos of them for others to enjoy.

Hmm, you may well say that, but what have they done that's new?
Have a read of this article on originality and let me know what you think...

Interesting read. However, I don't personally think that dance has to be new and original in order for it to be inspiring and enjoyable to watch/do. What makes good dance is certainly subjective and what one person may like, another won't. I think that the comment about some of Diversity's moves being gymnastics and not dance is a little unfair...I think that there are areas where gymnastics and dance become blurred; they are both very physically demanding activites where moves are coordinated with music.
In my opinion, a huge strength of Diversity is how tight they are; their dance moves are so sharp and excellently coordinated. I do really enjoy watching them perform and I think that they have helped make dance, especially street dance, more accessible to the general public and young people who ordinarily would have associated dance with middle to upper class ballet dancers. I think that street dance is especially beneficial for young people from economically and emotionally deprived backgrounds; it can give them focus, dicsipline, keep them in shape and keep them out of trouble..an inspiration/influence that I think Diversity can be credited a little for.
Any thoughts...?

Just watched the UK Streetdance Championships video. The "transformers" opening was pretty sick, and I love how they incorporated it into the rest of the routine. That or I'm just a big transformers fan.
